ABOUT US
EHK Sports Enterprises was started in January of 2000 by Eric H. Krupka. EHK Sports created MidgetAAA.com which was the first website to bring all the Midget "AAA" teams across America together, by publishing their schedules/results, stats, rosters etc... Later EHK Sports published JuniorA.com which did the same things for all of Junior "A" hockey in the United States. Then in August of 2001 EHK Sports brought the two websites together under one name, U.S. Hockey News. The website was free for a year and then went subscription for the 2002-03 season. The website was a huge success as it became the premier website for youth hockey information and news. Since then Amateur Hockey Report was created in 2005 as a central scouting website for college and Major Junior, with special emphasis on NHL Entry Draft eligible players present and future.
In 2002 EHK Sports entered into the tournament business when it managed the 2002 Thanksgiving Invitational with 12 of the top Midget "AAA" teams in attendance. Since then the name has been changed to the Challenge Cup and has become the most scouted and competitive youth hockey tournament in the United States with 44 Tier I teams in attendance in 2007.
Also in 2002 EHK Sports split from Complete Hockey (the two companies had done a joint venture in 2001) to run its own youth hockey showcases for players needing exposure. Needless to say, the International Pre-Draft Showcases was formed and the rest is history. The Pre-Draft Showcases has become the most successful showcase in North America with a 73% success rate of moving players on. That success directly linked to the fact that in 2007 over 250 scouts showed up to watch the event.
In June of 2004 EHK Sports reached an agreement with the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League to hold the Challenge Cup in their Training Facility and have the event sponsored by the Stars and its corporate sponsors. No other tournament in the world is directly linked to a NHL team. EHK Sports has once again raised the bar in event management.
EHK Sports is currently working with many different people to bring youth instructional camps to global markets for the summer of 2008. We will keep you posted.
EHK Sports has become known for running the absolute best events in youth sports, whether its a showcase or tournament, its the BEST!!!
