Lehtinen Goes Home To Northern Michigan

EHK Sports Alum To Play In The CCHA

CHICAGO - EHK Sports Enterprises is proud to announce that Rob Lehtinen has accepted a scholarship to play hockey for Northern Michigan University in the CCHA next season.  Rob played for EHK Sports at the 2001 Prospects Tournament, where he transitioned from a forward to defenseman with great results.

"Rob was on our first Prospects team, where he shined whether playing as a forward or defenseman." said EHK Sports CEO Eric H. Krupka, "I was helping coach with Nick Pollos (Head Coach: Springfield Jr. Blues - NAHL) and we didn't know which position to play him, he was a great player all around.  Rob was one of our finest players and now that he is moving to Div I we are all very happy for him.  The fact that he's going back to his home town of Marquette, MI is that much better for Rob."

This season Rob plays for the Waterloo Black Hawks of the United States Hockey League where he has stayed a defenseman.  Rob played midget hockey for the Marquette Electricians, one of the best programs in the U.S.  EHK Sports and the Electricians have always had a great relationship and we were happy to have Rob join us in our first Prospects Tournament.  His homecoming will hopefully help further the great programs in place in the "UP".  At 5'11" 175lbs, Rob will jump right into the college game and score some as well, he is currently second in scoring for his junior team this season.  EHK Sports is proud to have Rob as part of our family and wish him the best of luck as he finishes his junior career and heads to Div I.

Note: EHK Sports helps players achieve their dreams.  Sending all-star teams to the Prospects Tournament to be seen by NHL & Div I scouts and coaches is just one way EHK Sports promotes its players.  EHK Sports sends only the best U.S. players to the Prospects Tournament in Toronto every year.  In only two short years we have established ourselves as the standard for excellence in hockey promotion.  Our teams are first class all the way.  From the NHL jerseys to the professional coaches, EHK Sports spares no expense in the pursuit of promoting our players and the game of hockey.
