"John was a huge part of the 2002 Prospects team. He is a total team player, who works hard with or without the puck." said EHK Sports CEO Eric H. Krupka, "John was a huge physical and scoring presence on the ice during every game. With his work ethic, John will do great at Ohio State." |
John played for EHK Sports at the 2002 Prospects Tournament in Toronto, where he pounded opponents with his physical play. While helping the Blue team to a second place finish, John solidified himself in the minds of many top college coaches. John plays his junior hockey for the Pittsburgh Forge of the North American Hockey League, with another EHK Sports Alumni Denis Kirstein. At 6'1"-210lbs John is a big physical scoring forward who can mix it up when needed to send a message. Currently this season John is second in his teams scoring with a 43-17-26-43 scoring line. John played his midget hockey for Team Ohio, this is where he was noticed by many junior programs who all recruited him very heavily. EHK Sports is proud to have John as part of our family and wish him the best of luck this season and next at Ohio State. The following is an article from the U.S. Hockey News about John's signing:
