EHK Sports Alum To Play For The Air Force Academy

CHICAGO - EHK Sports Enterprises is proud to announce that Chris Wey has signed to play hockey for the Air Force Academy in the CHA starting fall of 2003.  Chris is the 8th player to accept a Div I scholarship after playing with EHK Sports.

Chris currently plays for the Sioux Falls Stampede of the USHL.

"Chris was one of the first players I noticed for our Prospects teams.  He has great size and can handle the puck." said EHK Sports CEO Eric H. Krupka, "Chris is learning a lot in Sioux Falls and that will help him next season at Air Force.  I wish him the bet and know he will do well."

Chris played for EHK Sports at the 2001 Prospects Tournament in Toronto, where he patrolled the blue line.  Chris helped his team to an impressive first showing for EHK Sports at the event.  Chris played for the Pittsburgh Forge of the North American Hockey League, with another EHK Sports Alumni Denis Kirstein, before moving on to play for the Sioux Falls Stampede of the United States Hockey League (America's only Tier I League).  At 6'3"-210lbs Chris is a mobile defenseman who can handle the puck as well.  Chris played his midget hockey for the Pittsburgh Hornets in his hometown of Pittsburgh, PA.  When the new Junior team the Forge came to town they quickly saw the potential Chris has.  EHK Sports is proud to have Chris as part of our family and wish him the best of luck this season and next at Air Force.

Note: Chris marks the 8th player to in only two years to have played for EHK Sports and gone on to sign a Div I scholarship.  EHK Sports sends only the best U.S. players to the Prospects Tournament in Toronto every year.  In only two short years we have established ourselves as the standard for excellence in hockey promotion.  Our teams are first class all the way.  From the NHL jerseys to the professional coaches, EHK Sports spares no expense in the pursuit of promoting our players and the game of hockey.
