McIlvane Chooses Ohio State
EHK Sports Alum To Play For Buckeyes in the CCHA
CHICAGO - EHK Sports Enterprises is proud to announce that Matt McIlvane has signed to play hockey for Ohio State University in the CCHA starting fall of 2004. Matt is the 10th player to accept a Div I scholarship after playing with EHK Sports.

Matt played for EHK Sports at the 2002 Prospects Tournament in Toronto and will again next month at the 2003 event. Matt leads by example with a hard work ethic and great confidence he helps motivate by example. Matt uses his size to get in front of the net and score at will. Matt plays for the Chicago Freeze of the North American Hockey League, with other EHK Sports alumni, including David Meckler, Dane Smulick, Kyle Laughlin, Rob Rassey, Jon James & Billy Irish-Baker. At 6'1"-205lbs Matt can pretty much do what he wants on the ice. His physical play, great hands, and vision while on the ice are his trademarks. Those skills helped Matt earn All-Rookie honors in the NAHL this season as well as being second in scoring for the Freeze with 56 points in 53 games. Matt played his midget hockey for Team Illinois. After, Matt choose to stay close to home and tendered with the nearby Freeze. EHK Sports is proud to have Matt as part of our family and wish him the best of luck at Ohio State.
