2003 EHK Sports Prospects Teams Take 3rd & 12th Places
CHICAGO - EHK Sports is proud to announce that the EHK Sports Blue team placed third, while the EHK Sports White team placed twelfth at the 2003 Prospects Tournament. After entering the playoffs the #5 seed, the Blue team beat Northstar Red 3-0, then faced a team they lost to in the opening game Pro Skill Gold, with a different ending Blue won 1-0 and then faced ISD and lost 5-3. The Blue team was led by Eric Slais with 14 points. Slais was second in scoring in the tournament and led the tournament in assists. Kane Osmars was third in the tournament with 6 goals. Both goalies played great and had many shutouts.
The White team entered the playoffs the #16 seed and had to face the #1 seeded Little Caesars Red who they had lost to in the round robin, this time though the White came out on fire and won 2-1 knocking off the highest seed. The next game proved a bit tougher as the White team faced ISD and lost 1-0 despite having many great chances. Aaron Anderson led the White team with 5 points. Both goalie had under 1.50 GAA.
Both EHK Sports teams played very well, they proved they were the 32 BEST players in the U.S. and were highly scouted every game. Once again EHK Sports delivered on its promise, we had the absolute best players around. Next year we will do it all again.
Note: The Prospects Tournament is the most highly scouted event in North America. Almost every Div I program scouts the event as well as many NHL and semi-pro teams. EHK Sports is proud to send the very best U.S. players there every year.
