CHICAGO, IL - EHK Sports is very proud and excited to announce that it has agreed to a three-year deal with the Dallas Stars and Dr, Pepper StarCenters.  The deal will ensure the USHN Challenge Cup will be played is Dallas, TX through 2008.  The Challenge Cup has been held in Dallas at the Frisco Dr. Pepper StarCenter for two years with the Plano rinks being added last year.  EHK Sports will use both the Frisco and Plano rinks, which together have four sheets of ice, next year as we expand to host more teams.

"We have been very pleased with the staff of the StarCenters, especially Ed Reusch and Keith Andreson, both have done everything we have asked them to do., stated EHK Sports CEO Eric H. Krupka "It was a no brainer to sign a multi-year deal with them and the Dallas Stars who own the rinks.  With the help of those guys and people like Mark Frankenfeld, a long time supporter of mine and the company's we can make this event even bigger."

EHK Sports brought the event to Dallas in 2004 as a 16 team tournament.  Last year it was expanded to 20 Midget Major teams and 7 Midget Minor.  EHK Sports hopes next year to have up to 40 teams in the tournament.  Teams such as Belle Tire, Little Caesars, LA Jr. Kings and many others are already committed to attending the event again next year.

"EHK Sports does a great job running the Challenge Cup and bringing top notch teams into our buildings," said Dallas Stars President Jim Lites, "we are happy to have worked out a multi-year deal with them so the event can continue to grow.  Its good for both EHK Sports and the Dallas Stars."

EHK Sports will also be retaining the Westin Stonebriar Resort and Marriott at Legacy Center as the two host hotels.  Multi-year deals with both the Westin and Marriott are being worked out as of press time.
